Kusina

Privacy Policy

CypherZero Software Development Services ("we", "us", "our") built Kusina as a commercial mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information Kusina collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information stored on your device only

Kusina is designed as an offline-first app. The following data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers:

Information sent to our server when you share a meal plan via link

When you use the "Share Link" feature, Kusina uploads the following data to our server (kusina.cypherzero.dev):

This data does not include your name, device ID, location, or any personal information. Shared meal plans are stored for 7 days and then automatically deleted. They are accessible only via the unique link — there is no listing or search. Sharing is optional; you can always use offline file sharing (.kusina files) instead.

Information collected by third-party services

Kusina integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

RevenueCat (in-app purchases)
Processes purchase transactions and manages entitlements (premium status, recipe pack ownership). RevenueCat may collect a anonymous device identifier and purchase history. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Google AdMob (advertising)
Displays banner and interstitial ads to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data to serve relevant ads. On iOS, Kusina requests your permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt before allowing ad-related tracking. Google Privacy Policy

2. How We Use Information

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only data that leaves your device is:

4. Ad Tracking and Your Choices

iOS: Kusina will ask for your permission before enabling ad-related tracking (App Tracking Transparency). You can change this at any time in your device Settings under Kusina.

Android: You can opt out of personalized ads in your device Settings under Google > Ads.

Premium users: Upgrading to Kusina Premium removes all ads and disables all ad-related data collection.

5. Data Retention

All meal planning data is stored locally on your device. The only server-side data is meal plans you explicitly share via link, which are automatically deleted after 7 days. Your local data persists until you:

6. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by going to Settings > About > Delete All Data within the app. This permanently removes all meal plans, preferences, and notification settings from your device. Previously purchased content (premium, recipe packs) can be restored afterward via "Restore Purchases."

7. Recipe Content Disclaimer

Kusina provides recipe instructions, ingredient lists, and estimated nutritional information for general informational purposes only. This content is not professional dietary, medical, or nutritional advice.

We are not responsible for any adverse reactions, health issues, or outcomes resulting from the preparation or consumption of recipes in the App. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for specific dietary or nutritional guidance.

8. Children's Privacy

Kusina is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us.

9. Security

Since Kusina stores data locally on your device, your data is protected by your device's own security measures (passcode, biometrics, encryption). Purchase transactions are secured by Apple's App Store and Google Play infrastructure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Kusina after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
